New IM LS6 with 900V platform and four-wheel steering launched

On September 26, IM Motors launched its new LS6 all-electric SUV. The new car is based on the existing LS6 with vehicle configuration upgrades while the appearance and interior remained consistent compared with the previous model. Five trims are available to choose from:

  • Lizard Smart Driving Edition: 216,900 yuan (31,000 USD), 625 km range, 400V platform, RWD
  • Long-range Lizard Smart Driving Edition: 239,900 yuan (34,000 USD), 701 km range, 800V platform, RWD
  • Super-long-range Lizard Smart Driving Edition: 254,900 yuan (36,400 USD), 802 km range, 900V platform, RWD
  • Long-range Lizard Smart Enjoy Edition: 254,900 yuan (36,400 USD), 701 km range, 800V platform, RWD
  • Super-performance Lizard Smart Enjoy Edition: 279,900 yuan (40,000 USD), 750 km range, 900V platform, AWD

IM Motors’ lizard digital chassis and a four-wheel steering system as well as the intelligent driving capabilities are the highlights of the new IM LS6. The IM AD 3.0 intelligent driving system can support Navigate on Autopilot in the city without a map. At the same time, with the addition of rear-wheel steering, autonomous parking can be realized.

The new IM LS6 offers seven exterior paints and two interior color themes.

The RWD trims have power/torque options of 216 kW (290 hp)/450 Nm, 248 kW (333 hp)/500 Nm, and 300 kW (402 hp)/500 Nm. The maximum power of the AWD trim is 579 kW (776 hp) and the peak torque is 800 Nm. The 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time range is 3.48 – 6.4 seconds and the top speed range is 210 – 252 km/h.

There are three battery pack options: 75 kWh lithium iron phosphate packs as well as 83 kWh and 100 kWh ternary lithium battery packs, providing CLTC ranges of 625 km, 701 km, 802 km, and 702 km. Additionally, the fastest charging rate can replenish 570 km of range in 15 minutes with the 900V platform.

The length, width, and height of the new LS6 are 4910/1988/1669 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2960 mm. Compared with the old model (see spec here), the length has increased by 6 mm and the wheelbase has increased by 10 mm due to the chassis upgrade.

Inside, the cockpit layout is the same as before, equipped with the “IMOS Future Smart Cabin”. The large screen consisting of a 26.3-inch central control screen, a 10.5-inch full LCD instrument panel, and a 15.5-inch co-pilot screen is powered by the IM OS intelligent interaction system. The car chip has been upgraded to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. CarLink and HiCar are also added.

The seats have also been upgraded, including a 121° zero-gravity co-pilot seat, and the rear row has a “chaise longue” mode.
