Very popular in North America, traditional pickup trucks often consume a lot of fuel. Thatβs why itβs all the more interesting to examine electrified pickup trucks. Here are five electrified vans to discover this year.
Chevrolet Silverado EV 2024
The Chevrolet Silverado needs no introduction. However, the electric version of this popular pickup is still a newcomer to the market. With a base price of $78,025, the Chevrolet Silverado EV offers a range of up to 724 kilometres and a maximum towing capacity of 12,500 lbs. Three versions are currently available: 3WT, 4WT, and RST.
GMC also markets an equivalent pickup, the Sierra EV.
2024 Ford F-150 Lightning
The Ford F-150 Lightning was the first 100% electric pickup truck on the Canadian market. The range varies according to the version chosen. The maximum range is 515 kilometers. In its Pro version, the Ford F-150 Lightning is priced at $61,890. The range comprises five versions: Pro, XLT, Flash, Lariat, and Platinum.
Thanks to the Go Green program, the Pro version with the standard range qualifies for a $7,000 provincial credit up until December 31 2024. The standard-range Pro and XLT models qualify for a $5,000 federal grant through the Zero Emission Vehicle Incentive Program. The Ford F-150 Lightning is available exclusively with the SuperCrew cab and 5.5-foot cargo bed body configuration.

This includes a naturally aspirated 2.5 L four-cylinder engine, an electric motor and a 1.1 kWh battery.
