Xpeng P7+ piles up at manufacturer before sales start in October

The Xpeng P7+ electric liftback piles up at the manufacturer before the sales start, which is scheduled for October. This BEV aims to add momentum to the brand’s sales performance after the successful launch of the Mona M03 sedan.

Xpeng is one of the oldest Chinese NEV startups founded in 2014. However, its sales volume in China hasn’t been satisfying lately. According to CarNewsChina research, Xpeng has completed only 34.3% of its annual sales target, which is 12.7% lower than the average goal achievement rate. Now, Xpeng wants to improve the situation with new models: the recently launched Mona M03 (see specs) and the upcoming P7+.

Xpeng P7+ piles up at dealers

Recently, spy photos leaked online, showing a bunch of P7+ liftbacks at the parking near the Xpeng factory. The spotted cars have two exterior color variants: silver and light green. Previously, Chinese MIIT revealed the P7+ with a purple body color as it applied for the sales license.

Xpeng has started accumulating P7+ sedans in stock before the sales launch, which is scheduled for this month. It is a reasonable move, keeping in mind that Xpeng was unable to keep up with the recently launched Mona M03’s orders.  Back to the P7+, every spotted car has a blackened roof and large rims. There is no information about the Xpeng P7+’s trim levels. But we assume the bunch of spotted cars consists of top-trim models. In this case, they can be used for demonstrations at the brand’s showrooms.
