As we are in November, new powers in the Chinese automotive industry are sharing their October sales report cards. The term “new powers in the automotive industry,” coined by Chinese media reports, refers to emerging automakers specializing in the production of new energy vehicles (NEVs), in contrast to conventional automakers who focused on ICE vehicles. The rankings are below:

At the time of this article, Li Auto came in first, with more than 50,000 vehicles delivered in October, a year-on-year increase of 27.3%. As of October, Li Auto’s cumulative deliveries in 2024 have reached 393,255 units, surpassing the total sales for the whole year of 2023.
For HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance), its cumulative delivery has exceeded 500,000 units in 32 months since its first model was launched on the market. In October, HIMA’s main source of sales is Aito, delivering 34,526 units. Specifically, the Aito M9 (see spec here) delivered 16,004 vehicles and the Aito M7 (see spec here) delivered 15,836 vehicles. So far, the Aito M9 has been the monthly sales champion for models above the 500,000 yuan (70,200 USD) price segment in the Chinese market for consecutive months. Since its launch 10 months ago, the Aito M9’s cumulative orders have exceeded 160,000 units.
It is worth mentioning that the newly launched Luxeed R7 (see spec here) sold 4,730 units, with over 30,000 orders received in 33 days after its launch.
Compared with September, GAC Aion’s sales in October rebounded, with new car deliveries reaching 40,052 units. From January to October this year, GAC Aion delivered a total of 323,946 vehicles.
