GAC Hyptec HL interior revealed with MPV-grade comfort

GAC revealed official interior images of the Hyptec HL flagship electric crossover. This SUV boasts MPV-grade comfort with two independent captain chairs with an 18-point massage in the second row. The Hyper HL will officially debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show on November 15.

Hyptec is an NEV high-end brand under GAC. It was initially launched in China as β€œHyper” in 2023. In August 2024, GAC rebranded Hyper to Hyptec, announcing its overseas strategy. This brand’s model line currently comprises three models: GT sedan, HT fastback SUV, and SSR sports car. The fourth model is the Hyptec HL full-size flagship SUV. Its interior was revealed in China to redefine the luxury SUV segment.

The center console of the Hyptec HL crossover is trivial. Almost every modern China-made car follows the same design formula: a large floating screen, a gear shifter behind the wheel, an absence of physical buttons, and two wireless phone chargers in the center tunnel.

However, the Hyptec HL manages to offer some distinguishing features. They include buttons instead of traditional door handles, and a touch-sensitive block of controls on the front passenger’s side. Other features of the Hyptec HL are a suede-covered ceiling, an interior came and a hazard lights button on the ceiling.

The second row of the Hyptec HL is way more interesting. It catches attention with two independent MPV-grade captain chairs. They are covered with red Nappa leather and have large armrests with touchscreens. These two chairs can be electrically adjusted in 12 ways. What is more, they reportedly offer an 18-point massage function and speakers in headrests. As the icing on the cake, the Hyptec HL’s seats support a zero-gravity mode with a 127.5-degree angle.

GAC is the largest MPV manufacturer in China. It is quite experienced in the manufacturing process of these cars. It seems that GAC decided to introduce some of its high-end MPV solutions to the SUV segment. With this unique feature, they will try to redefine the segment of high-end crossovers.

Back to the Hyptec HL, it has two seats in the third row. It also has a large sunroof and a Hyptec-branded acoustic system.
