Geely announced that its Galaxy E5 electric SUV had achieved 60,000 deliveries 119 days after its market launch on August 3. Delivery numbers grew steadily, with 10,000 units delivered in the first 20 days, 20,000 units by day 45, 30,000 units by day 67, and surpassing 50,000 units by day 100.
Priced from 109,800 yuan (15,120 USD), the Galaxy E5 features Geely’s Aegis short-blade lithium iron phosphate battery and Flyme Auto infotainment system. Available in eight color options, the SUV measures 4615mm (L), 1901mm (W), and 1670mm (H), with a wheelbase of 2750mm. It offers two battery configurations—49.52 kWh and 60.22 kWh—providing ranges of 440 km and 530 km, respectively. The Galaxy E5 has a 160 kW electric motor that accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds.
The vehicle’s interior is 4.03 square meters and has 33 storage compartments, including unique options like drawers under the rear air vents and seats. Built on Geely’s GEA architecture derived from the SEA platform, it has a 0.269 drag coefficient and CTB (cell-to-body) battery integration. This translates to lowering the center of gravity, enhancing rigidity, and supporting a balanced 50:50 weight distribution. The Galaxy 11-in-1 drive system integrates key components into a compact, lightweight unit to improve performance.
The Galaxy E5 is equipped with a digital instrument panel, a central control screen, and a head-up display. Higher trims include front massage seats and a 16-speaker Flyme audio system, including headrest-mounted units. The SUV features aerodynamic wheels.
The Geely EX5, the global version of the Geely Galaxy E5, made its international debut in Thailand at the Thai Motor Expo in November. It will also be available in Norway, Australia, and Indonesia.
In 2025, Geely plans to enhance the broader Galaxy lineup, including the L6 and L7, with Flyme Auto updates.
