The BYD Yuan UP will launch in the UK in early 2025 as the BYD Atto 2 with 311 km of cruising range. The car is an all-electric compact SUV under BYDβs Dynasty series. Currently, there are four trims on sale in the domestic Chinese market with a price range of 96,800 β 119,800 yuan (13,300 β 16,400 USD), available in 187 miles (301 km) and 249 miles (401 km) cruising ranges. At this time, the BYD Atto 2βs price tag has not been revealed.
The BYD Atto 2 to be sold in the UK is a single-motor version with a maximum power of 130 kW (174 hp) and a peak torque of 290 Nm, paired with a 42.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, providing an official range of up to 193 miles (311 km).
The BYD Atto 2 has largely the same appearance as the domestic model, maintaining the Dragon Face design, except the Yuan script is replaced with the BYD logo and the chrome outline in the lower front section underwent a minor change. Based on BYDβs e-Platform 3.0, the length, width, and height of the Yuan UP are 4310/1830/1675 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2620 mm.
It is worth pointing out that the BYD Yuan UP previously debuted as the BYD Yuan Pro in the South American market.
Referring to the domestic model, the interior uses a black and beige color combination, equipped with an 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel, a 12.8-inch central control screen, and a four-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel. The seats are covered with suede and leather materials. In addition, some physical buttons are retained on the steering wheel and the center console.
In November, the BYD Yuan UP sold 24,070 units, a month-on-month increase of 2.0%, bringing its cumulative sales volume to 133,633 units since its launch in March this year.
