Xiaomi SU7 delivered over 130,000 units, completing the full-year goal

The Xiaomi SU7 sedan’s deliveries reached 130,000 units in China. It took this car nine months to complete the full-year adjusted goal. Xiaomi delivered over 30,000 units of the SU7 from November 13.

Xiaomi SU7 is a middle-to-high electric sedan launched in China on March 28 with a price range of 215,900 – 229,900 yuan (29,600 – 31,500 USD). After the launch, this vehicle made headlines for receiving 50,000 orders in 27 minutes. Despite some malfunctions at the production start, this vehicle attracted lots of buyers in China. Xiaomi boosted the SU7’s production several times in China. On December 28, the young automaker broke the 130,000th car delivery threshold.

Xiaomi delivery record

It took Xiaomi 275 days, or exactly 9 months, to complete the full-year delivery goal after adjustment. We will remind you that Xiaomi’s initial goal was 100,000 cars in 2024. Sales of this vehicle accelerated after production ramped up to 20,000 units monthly in June.

In the first full month after the sales started, Xiaomi delivered 10,000 cars to buyers. Then, it sold 90,000 more vehicles in 198 days (until November 13). Finally, this automaker took 45 days to deliver 30,000 more cars, bringing the total delivery number to 130,000 units. According to China EV DataTracker, Xiaomi sales in December were 16,328 units. It is a remarkable result for the car launched in late Q1 this year.

We will remind you that Xiaomi also celebrates one year from the first official presentation of the SU7 EV on December 28, 2023. Next year, Xiaomi will launch the second-phase car plant, boosting the production volume further. It will allow this automaker to enhance its sales volume. It is worth mentioning that Xiaomi plans to launch two more models in 2025. The first one is a three-motor SU7 Ultra sedan. And the second is the Xiaomi YU7 crossover. They will amplify the brand’s domestic sales.

Briefly about Xiaomi SU7

Xiaomi SU7 is a sporty sedan with dimensions of 4997/1963/1455 mm and a wheelbase of 3000 mm. It is a bit taller and longer than the Porsche Taycan. The entry-level SU7 adopts RWD for 220 kW (295 hp), powered by an LFP 73.6 kWh battery. The top-trim SU7 offers dual-motor 4WD for 495 kW (663 hp) and a ternary NMC pack for 101 kWh. The car’s range is 700 – 830 km.
