Avatr 06 gets up to a 650 km range as battery information announced

More details have emerged about the Avatr 06, which will launch in the second quarter of 2025. Previously known by the internal code name E16 the sedan will be the fourth model from the Avatr brand. Prices are likely to start at around 250,000 yuan (34,150 USD). Available in both all-electric and extended-range EV versions, we now know the battery sizes and range.

The all-electric version comes equipped with a 72.88 kWh battery pack. This is enough to give the single-motor version a range of 650 km, while the dual-motor version has a range of 600 km using the CLTC measurement system.

Powering the all-electric version of the Avatr 06 is a 252 kW electric motor on the rear axle, and in the case of the dual-motor version, an additional 188 kW electric motor is added to the front axle.

EREV versions of the car use a 31.7 kWh battery pack, which is enough to give an all-electric range of 170 km. Powering this version is a 231 kW electric motor with a 1.5 T engine with a power of 115 kW acting as a range extender.

It should be noted that the battery capacities are lower than those of the Avatr 07. The Avatr 06 can be seen as a sedan version of the 07 SUV (see specs). Both share the same Powertrain options so it had been expected that they would also share the same battery packs.

All the batteries used in the Avatr 06 are lithium iron phosphate and sourced from CATL, which is the second largest shareholder in the Avatr brand after Changan.

The Avatr O6 measures 4855,1960, 1450 mm (l/w/h), and the wheelbase is 2940 mm. It will be available in six exterior colors. The car’s design is based on the Avatr 2.0 concept.

Although there are currently no confirmed details of the interior of the Avatr O6 it can be expected to look largely the same as that of the 07. This means a 15.6-inch floating infotainment screen and a wide 35.4-inch surround screen at the back of the dashboard.

Cars equipped with side view cameras will also get two 6.7-inch displays for those cameras. Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4.0 will likely power the system.
