Zeekr will enter South Korea at end of 2025, introducing Zeekr 007 and Zeekr X

Zeekr plans to officially enter the South Korean (referred to as Korean in the article) market at the end of 2025 and introduce both the Zeekr 007 and Zeekr X. The brand is currently negotiating with five Korean automobile dealers.

Tesla’s success in the Korean market shows that there is demand for high-end electric vehicles, according to Lee Hang-gu, director of the Jeonbuk Institute of Automotive Convergence Technology. Lee further attributed that Chinese smart electric vehicles will be attractive to Korean tech-savvy consumers. Other Chinese automakers including BYD are also entering the Korean market.

Earlier, it was reported that Zeekr had established an office in South Korea in the second half of 2024 and had appointed a general manager for the office through Hyundai’s Zeekr Korea Project, who was Kim Nam-ho, previously the product manager of BMW Korea and the general sales manager of Polestar Korea.

Furthermore, Zeekr also revealed in an interview with Bloomberg that it plans to open showrooms in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province in the second half of 2025, and expects to begin delivering vehicles to customers starting from the first quarter of 2026.

So far, Zeekr has entered overseas markets in Thailand, Singapore, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, to name a few.
