Han L and Tang L design
BYD chief designer Wolfgang Egger said that Tang L and Han L aren’t just two cars. They are the carriers of Chinese culture. These two vehicles represent the latest philosophy of Dynasty design language. The new generation of Han L and Tang L adopt the new generation of Loong Face (previously called Dragon Face) design.
Starting from the front face, BYD Han L and Tang L adopted a more 3D chrome-plated element called Dragon Mustache, visually adding width to the cars’ bodies. Previously, BYD successfully integrated Chinese knot design into the Dynasty series. This time, BYD Han L taillights were inspired by Phoenix wings. Tang L taillight element was inspired by the Chinese bamboo weaving technique. These cars adopt porcelain-like body paint, and D-pillars shaped to reflect brush strokes.
The interior is structured in vertical and horizontal dimensions to create a spacious experience. New design and new texture provide a higher level of comfort. The traditional Chinese clothing influenced the seat design of the Han L and Tang L.
