Zeekr released new pictures of its upcoming 007 GT with renders of the European countryside and next to church-like buildings. Zeekr 007 GT (Grand Tour) is a wagon version of the 007 sedan. In Europe, the car will be named Zeekr 7 GT.
Wagons (or kombi, as Germans say) never had much popularity in China; however, they peaked in Europe in the 90s. Nowadays, even in the Old Continent, they are being slowly replaced by SUVs. However, it is still the first choice for many customers.
No more details about the 007 GT were disclosed. Zeekr shared pictures of the new wagon in silver, and we can see it adds roof rails, and the D-pillar appears to seamlessly merge with the rear window. As it is a wagon, the rear seats will have more head space. The car will likely have the same dimensions and powertrain as the 007 sedan.
The 007 sedan was launched in 2023 in China, and the wagon version was officially announced in August 2024. The mid-size sedanβs dimensions are 4880/1900/1448 mm (length/width/height) with a wheelbase of 2928 mm.
The 007 RWD long-range version has a 100 kWh NMC battery, good for an 870 km CLTC range. The AWD version has dual motors with 475 kW power (310 kW in rear and 165 kW in front) and 710 Nm peak torque. The acceleration of 0-100 km/h is 2.8 seconds.
Zeekr 007 starts at 209,900 yuan (28,600 USD) in China. The GT version will likely have the same or a slightly higher price tag.
Zeekr 007 GT will feature Geelyβs in-house developed Golden battery with a maximum charging rate of 4.5C and a maximum charging power of 500 kW. It can get 500 km in 15 minutes, according to Geely. The 007 GT will feature 800 V architecture.
Zeekr 007 GT will launch in the second quarter of the year, according to the company. CarNewsChina expects it will be at the Shanghai Auto Show in April. It will compete with Nio ET5 Touring, Neta S shooting-brake, and other EV wagons in China.
Zeekr sold 222,123 EVs globally in 2024, up 87% from 118,585 units in 2023. In Europe, Zeekr sells in the Netherlands, Noway, and Sweden
