So, I Checked Out a 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali and It Just Might Put the Tesla Cybertruck Out of Business, and It’s Hiding One Secret Feature

This pickup truck might put the Tesla Cybertruck out of business.

That is what Joe Fay (@jf.okay) says about the all-new 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali pickup. As I was looking at the electric truck comparisons on TikTok’s page, I ran across Joe’s interesting video.

Joe says,

“So, I’m checking out the new 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali, and it might put the Tesla Cybertruck out of business. And it’s hiding one secret feature.”

What Is the New GMC Sierra EV Denali Feature Joe Is Describing?

The Sierra EV Denali boasts unique features such as the multi-pro tailgate, a six-function marvel that enhances cargo bed accessibility, loading, and unloading. This feature sets it apart from Cybertruck.

GMC says, “The six-function MultiPro Tailgate helps improve accessing, loading, and unloading the cargo bed.”

Let’s Hear from Joe as He Assesses the New Sierra EV Pickup

Joe says, “Now, I want to know if you would choose this 2025 Sierra EV Denali Max Range Truck over a Tesla Cybertruck?”

“Obviously, looking at it, it looks more like a traditional pickup truck, and it’s hiding one secret feature. Just look at the bed.”

“The backseat of the GMC Denali EV might look normal, but it has a unique feature. Just pull this tab, the backseat flips up, push the headrest down, pull this tab down below, and just like that, the backseat of this pickup is now folded down.”

“You can then remove the back window and rear panel. This six-foot pickup bed now extends to nearly ten feet. To add more length to your truck bed, lower the tailgate, pick up this built-in extender, and add another two feet.”

“Now look at how much room you now have.”

Joe gets off point for a minute, looking at the Sierra EV Denali charging door on the side of the truck.

“Next, look how massive this charge port door is. It’s unnecessary.”

“If you need to power literally anything in your Denali EV arsenal, the power connection ports in the bed can do that for you.”

How Much Does the 2025 Sierra EV Denali Max Range Truck Cost?

Joe says, “Buckle up because this truck’s manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) is $100,790, including the destination charge.”

“That means for just a 75% battery life left, you will get 347 miles of range. So, with a 100% fully charged battery, this EV truck gets 460 miles of range. That’s enough to tow anything and anywhere.”

Joe jumps inside and checks out the interior.

“The front seats have one of the biggest center touchscreens I have ever seen. So, if you like regular-looking pickup trucks, this one is for you.”

“If the bed folding into the backseat isn’t enough storage for you, the center console between the front seats has a ton of space.”

Stepping around the front of the truck, he opens the frunk.

“Next, just look at the size of this front frunk. It is massive. To be fair, this is so much bigger than the Cybertruck’s front frunk that I can barely stretch my arm to the front of it when I’m leaning all the way in,” he continues.

A Question for You

Now, I pose the same question to you as Joe did. Would you choose the 2025 Sierra EV Denali Max Range Truck over a 2025 Tesla Cybertruck if given the choice? Before you decide, take a moment to compare both trucks’ prices and ranges.

What Is the Price of the 2025 Tesla Cybertruck?

The 2025 Tesla Cybertruck starts at $81,985 for the Base electric and goes up to $101,985 for the Cyberbeast. So, depending on the trim and options, you’d likely pay about the same for a CT comparable to the fully loaded 2025 Sierra EV Denali Max Range truck.

How Does the Range Compare With the Cybertruck?

The 2025 Cybertruck gets an increase in range to 445+ miles (estimated). Production is planned to begin in mid-2025. Tesla is now taking reservations for the 2025 model.

What are Others Saying in the Comments?

Just Float’n Around – But it doesn’t have Tesla’s ecosystem or FSD
KaCawBird – That’s definitely a TRUCK. Tesla doesn’t have a truck.
Jason – I’ll wait a year and then buy it used for $39,000!
Random Guy Speaks – No, towing will drop the range dramatically. You never said how it would put Tesla out of business.
eric2996 – GM had the environmental impact game all figured out with the Volt. It would be nice to see them go further with that plug-in hybrid technology in their trucks, especially. The range will be problematic for all these EV trucks because people want to take them camping, go on long trips, and pull a trailer.

Final Thoughts and a Question

With electric vehicles, especially trucks like the Ford F-150 Lightning, depreciating quickly, it will be a tough sell for many truck buyers. When you look at the $100,000 price tag, many others are priced out of the market.

If you had the money and wanted an electric truck, would you choose the 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali or the 2025 Tesla Cybertruck? Click the red Add New Comment link below and let us know your pick.
