Xiaomi YU7 SUV interior photos reveal a high-tech, sporty cabin

Recent spy shots of the upcoming Xiaomi YU7 SUV provide the first detailed look at its interior, showcasing a high-tech and sporty cabin. The leaked images reveal a futuristic dashboard design, advanced digital interfaces, and premium materials, positioning the YU7 as a serious competitor in the EV market.

A key highlight is the absence of a traditional instrument cluster, replaced by a Panoramic Head-Up Display (PHUD) that projects key driving information onto the windshield. The centre console features a floating infotainment screen, slightly smaller than the Xiaomi SU7 sedan, which is likely for better integration with the PHUD. Running on Xiaomiโ€™s HyperOS, the system offers deep connectivity with Xiaomiโ€™s smart devices.

The flat-bottom steering wheel, wrapped in Alcantara and carbon fibre, enhances sportiness and luxury. It includes physical controls, a red โ€œBoost Modeโ€ button for performance-focused driving, and another for activating advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Premium materials and dual-tone red and white leather upholstery elevate the cabinโ€™s upscale feel. The driverโ€™s seat features an electric legrest for added comfort, while the YU7โ€™s 3,000mm wheelbase ensures ample rear legroom.

Technological enhancements include wireless charging pads and electronic door handles. A discreetly integrated LiDAR sensor on the roof hints at advanced autonomous driving capabilities. While interior details dominate the leaks, glimpses of the exterior show a sleek, coupe-like silhouette, hidden door handles, a panoramic sunroof, and a transparent U-shaped taillight with an active spoiler.

Set to launch in June 2025, the YU7 is positioned to compete with the Tesla Model Y, with a starting price expected around 250,000 yuan (approximately 34,200 USD). It is expected to feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, delivering around 500 horsepower. The SUV will likely utilize an 800V electrical architecture, supporting fast charging and a range of over 700 km. An adaptive air suspension system aims to balance comfort and dynamic handling.
