Xiaomi SU7 Pro electric sedan sold out for 2025

According to the official Xiaomi Auto App, the delivery waiting time of the SU7 Pro electric sedan after placing the order lies in the 43 – 46 week range. This is almost a year. It means the SU7 Pro is sold out for 2025. Previously, company officials disclosed that there are around 150,000 vehicles waiting to be delivered.

Xiaomi Auto is a young automaker founded by the IT giant Xiaomi Group. Its first model is the Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan. It entered the Chinese market in March 2024. After the launch, Xiaomi Auto immediately faced the problem of production capacity. As a result, the waiting time for the SU7 was above 25 weeks. In mid-2024, Xiaomi boosted the production volume of the SU7, driving the delivery time down. However, the launch of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra affected the company’s delivery schedule.

Xiaomi SU7 delivery time record

The Xiaomi SU7 Standard version has a waiting time of 36 – 39 weeks (9 – 10 months), priced at 215,900 yuan (29,740 USD). The top-trim level Xiaomi SU7 Max with 4WD and air suspension boasts a delivery waiting time of 30 – 33 weeks (7.5 – 8 months). This modification has a price tag of 299,900 yuan (41,300 USD). It is worth mentioning that the recently launched Xiaomi SU7 Ultra performance sedan with 1,526 hp has a waiting time of 13 – 16 weeks (3 – 4 months).

These delivery terms are surprising. However, the middle-trim Xiaomi SU7 Pro electric sedan with a price tag of 245,900 yuan (33,870 USD) has the longest waiting time of 43 – 46 weeks (11 – 11.5 months). This means that buyers who placed orders for the Xiaomi SU7 Pro would receive their vehicles after almost a full year. The delivery will be scheduled for January 2026.

This enormous waiting time rapidly made headlines in China. And Xiaomi Group’s public relations general manager Wang Hua replied that the company will try its best to increase the production capacity to achieve the 300,000 vehicles delivery target. Last year, Xiaomi delivered 139,487 cars. So, this year, the automaker aims to double its production capacity.

However, Xiaomi has another challenge ahead. We are talking about the launch of the brand’s first SUV called Xiaomi YU7. It will start sales in China this summer. Xiaomi is currently building the F2 plant next to the current production facility to make YU7 crossovers there. Still, this launch can also affect the delivery time of the Xiaomi sedan. In 2027, Xiaomi plans to launch global sales. It will become another challenge for this brand’s production capacity.
