2025 Xpeng G6 all-electric SUV with 5C ultra-fast charging AI batteries launched in China

On March 13, the 2025 Xpeng G6 SUV officially entered the market in China, featuring 81 updates. Three trims are offered:

  • 625 Long-range Max Technology Edition: 176,800 yuan (24,400 USD)
  • 625 Long-range Max Ultimate Edition: 186,800 yuan (25,800 USD)
  • 725 Ultra-long-range Max Ultimate Edition: 198,800 yuan (27,500 USD)

For the exterior, most notably, the front face adopts a 1942 mm long light strip that integrates the turn signal visual.

The entire series is equipped with 5C ultra-fast charging AI batteries and Xpeng’s self-developed Turing AI intelligent driving system. Xpeng claimed it takes 12 minutes to replenish from 10% to 80%, and 10 minutes to replenish 450 km. In extremely cold conditions of -30℃, it takes 15 minutes and 20 seconds to replenish from 10% to 80%.

In addition, the 5C ultra-fast charging AI battery has a β€œbulletproof armor” where the top part can withstand a high temperature of 1000Β°C, the side can withstand a pressure of 80 tons in collision scenarios, and the bottom can withstand an impact of 2000 joules.

Power comes from a rear permanent magnet synchronous motor that outputs 218 kW (292 hp) and 450 Nm, paired with lithium iron phosphate battery packs. The fastest 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time is 6.3 seconds, the top speed is 202 km/h, and the lowest power consumption per 100 km is 12.5 kWh.

In terms of advanced driving assistance capabilities, the 2025 Xpeng G6’s Turing AI intelligent driving system is realized via front and rear 8-megapixel cameras, millimeter wave radar, and ultrasonic radar, powered by dual NVIDIA Orin smart driving chips to achieve urban and high-speed navigation on autopilot, as well as remote parking and straight line summoning.

It is worth mentioning that the new car also comes standard with a small blue light for smart driving.

At the same time, two new body colors are added, Starry Purple and Cloud Beige, with a total of six colors, including Crescent Silver, Star Gray, Nebula White, and Dark Night Black. The size of the new car measures 4758/1920/1650 mm, and the wheelbase is 2890 mm.

The newly upgraded Dark Night Black trim features blackened sports rims, calipers, and a dark space gray interior.

At the first glance, the cabin is equipped with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel and a 15.6-inch floating central control screen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8295P chip and is connected to Xpeng’s self-developed X-GPT large language model.

Other upgrades included the 9-inch streaming rearview mirror, the soft material in the wireless fast charging area, and the β€œcloud-sense” seats that supoort heating, ventilation, and massage functions for the front seats.

Xpeng also claimed the 2025 G6 has the largest interior space and armrest box volume in its class, which has a capacity of 8.9 L and can hold five bottles of 600 ml water simultaneously. The standard trunk volume is 647 L, which can be expanded to 1,752 L.
