Huaweiβs exec has officially announced that the new Aito M9 will be launched on March 20. Pre-orders for the 2025 Aito M9 began on March 6, with pre-sale prices starting at 478,000 yuan (66,400 USD).
Richard Yu, Huaweiβs Executive Director and Chairman of the Intelligent Automotive Solution BU, released a video today stating that orders for the new Aito M9 have far exceeded expectations: the 2025 Aito M9 received over 30,000 pre-orders in one week, while the Aito M8 recorded more than 58,000 pre-orders during the same period.
Aito M9 sells pretty well in China, with cumulative sales of 171,269 units as of February 2025, according to China EV DataTracker, it serves as a benchmark for high-end SUVs.

According to reports, the 2025 Aito M9 is expected to feature significant upgrades in its intelligent driving hardware system, adding three high-precision solid-state LiDARs and distributed 4D millimeter-wave radar.

Additionally, another core upgrade is the integration of βHuawei Xinghe Communicationβ in the 2025 Aito M9.
Reports indicate that vehicles equipped with this feature can continue to use basic functions such as phone calls and text messages through satellite networks when ground communication networks are unavailable. In emergency situations, the vehicle can automatically make satellite calls to initiate rescue operations, providing safety assurance for usersβ travels.

From the side view, the new vehicle features very fluid line designs, with chrome decorations on the window frames and side skirts, enhancing the sophistication of its side profile. Regarding dimensions, the new vehicle measures 5,230/1,999/1,800mm with a wheelbase of 3,110mm.

In terms of powertrain, the Aito M9 offers two power systems. The extended-range version adopts a new range extender with an engine code of HG15T and a power output of 118kW. The pure electric version employs a dual-motor layout, with the front motor delivering a maximum power of 160kW and the rear motor providing up to 230kW.
