Geely’s Zeekr revealed the G-Pilot ADAS with L3 capabilities

The Geely-owned Zeekr revealed the G-Pilot intelligent driver assistance system with multiple LiDARs and 1,400 TOPS of computing power. This ADAS aims to rival the latest solutions from Huawei and BYD. The G-Pilot will be available in different tiers. The Zeekr 9X flagship SUV will adopt the G-Pilot H9 system.

On March 18, Zeekr Technology Group launched the Zeekr G-Pilot intelligent driving solution. It has different tiers, similar to the BYD’s God’s Eye (DiPilot) system. Moreover, the Zeekr G-Pilot is a part of the recently launched Geely’s G-Pilot technology.

More about Zeekr G-Pilot

The Zeekr G-Pilot driver assistance system will have several tiers. Their exact number has yet to be revealed. However, the Geely’s G-Pilot system offers five variants of intelligent driving: H1, H3, H5, H7, and H9. They differ by hardware and the utilization rate of artificial intelligence. During the presentation of the Zeekr G-Pilot, the brand’s representatives focused on the advanced H9 tier of the G-Pilot.

The Zeekr G-Pilot H9 adopts dual Nvidia Drive AGX Thor chips with a combined computing power of 1,400 TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second). For comparison, the top-trim God’s Eye A (DiPilot 600) system from BYD offers 600 TOPS. Other features of the G-Pilot H9 include 13 cameras, 3 mm-wave radars, and several LiDARs.

Thanks to the mentioned hardware, the Zeekr G-Pilot is claimed to be the industry’s first for intelligent driving such as General Automated Evasion System (G-AES) and Full-Capacity Vehicle-to-Parking (V2P) drive. It is capable of a map-free Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) function with an AI parking spot searching function. The Zeekr G-Pilot H9 is called the L3-ready model.
