Xiaomi increases 2025 sales target to 350,000 as Beijing plant ramps up production

Xiaomi raised its 2025 delivery target by 50,000 units to 350,000. The company also announced that the production capacity increase is going smoothly.

“We’re making strong progress in ramping up production, and we’ve raised our 2025 delivery target accordingly,” posted Lei Jun, Xiaomi CEO, on Weibo.

Xiaomi sells only one model—the Xiaomi SU7—and has only one plant. The Beijing facility finished construction in July 2023, and mass production started in March 2024. It added a second shift in May last year, increasing daily operation hours from 8 to 16 and monthly production capacity to nearly 20,000 vehicles.

The 720,000-square-meter plant in Beijing started construction in April 2022 and was completed in 14 months. However, this was only the first phase.

The second phase of the factory is adjacent to the first and covers a smaller area of 531,000 square meters. It started construction in September 2024 and will produce Xiaomi’s second model – the YU7 SUV.

In total, Xiaomi delivered 200,000 units in 348 days, less than a year. Xiaomi currently sells only one model—the SU7 sedan, which launched on March 28 last year.

The Xiaomi SU7 was launched on March 28, 2024, in three variants, which were joined earlier this month by the fourth variant, SU7 Ultra. SU7 Ultra is a performance version of the SU7 sedan.

Despite being on the market for about a year, Xiaomi SU7 still maintains strong demand. SU7 Pro is effectively sold out for 2025, as waiting times are currently 43 – 46 weeks.

Xiaomi sells three basic variants in the price range of 215,900 – 299,900 yuan (29,850 – 41,470 USD). The sold-out SU7 Pro is a mid-trim with a 94.3 kWh battery from CATL, good for 830 km under CLTC conditions, and a single 220 kW motor on the rear axle. It features two Nvidia Drive Orin X chips with 508 TOPS computing power. The price tag is 245,900 yuan (34,000 USD),
