We’re finally starting to see some 2025 GMC Sierra EVs on the road, and now GM’s luxury and upmarket truck and SUV brand is introducing the 2026 rendition of the all-electric Sierra. This new model year introduces two new trims, several sub-trims, and more battery options that both expand the range and lower the price of entry, with the new entry-level version of the EV pickup starting at just under $65,000. The Sierra EV also gets its first-ever all-electric AT4 trim complete with 35-inch tires and two-inches more ground clearance than the standard Sierra EV, among other features.
Elevation, the New Standard
The new entry level model for the 2026 GMC Sierra EV is the Elevation trim with its Standard Range battery pack. This trim comes standard with a coil-spring independent suspension and 18-inch wheels fitted with LT265/70R18 tires. This combination sets the Elevation at 8.07 inches of ground clearance, for those looking to potentially take it off-roading. We’d expect most people to use this version for just getting around and taking the occasional trip to the hardware store, but those people will appreciate the standard MultiPro tailgate and eTrunk power-operated hood.
For those wanting an easier time with dropping the midgate, the MultiPro MidGate is an available option. GMC didn’t release the range numbers for the Standard Range pack equipped on the Elevation trim, but it does come standard with all-wheel drive thanks to its dual motor configuration, good enough for 645 hp and 765 lb-ft of torque and towing up to 12,500 pounds. It starts at $64,495 for the Elevation Base Standard Range; adding $8,200 (for a total of $72,695) will net you the Extended Range battery pack. GMC also mentions an Elevation Premium trim for $78,940, which adds optional features like Super Cruise, spray-on bedliner, ventilated seats, and Bose Audio.
Off-Roading in the AT4
The next new trim for the 2026 Sierra EV is the AT4 and brings GMC’s off-road treatment to the all-electric pickup. (The Canyon and internal-combustion-powered Sierras offer AT4 variants.) As we mentioned in the lead, you get 35-inch all-terrain tires and a one-inch suspension lift for two inches of total lift (10.04-inches) over the Elevation trim. It also comes equipped with the ability to four-wheel steer and CrabWalk for maximum maneuverability while standard Super Cruise lets you drive hands free in limited highway situations. The AT4 also comes with its standard red tow hooks in the front, a front skid plate, a red illuminated “GMC” front badge, and Terrain Mode starting at $81,395 for the Extended Range pack. The 625 hp and 775 lb-ft of torque from its dual motors is good for towing up to 12,300 pounds.
For $82,090, the AT4 Premium comes with the MultiPro midgate standard but, for $91,695, you can get the AT4 Premium with the Max Range battery pack as well as the panoramic fixed glass roof, and 10.2-kW power source that allows owners to use 120- and 240-volt electronics. Max Range will also net you more horsepower and torque, increasing to 724 hp and 775 lb-ft of torque, but towing capacity remains the same.
Living the Denali Life
If you want the cream of the 2026 GMC Sierra EV crop, you’ll shoot for the Denali. Starting at $71,795, the Denali Base with its Standard Range Battery comes equipped with the Denali Ride and Handling coil-spring suspension package, quilted seating, open pore wood interior trim, Perimeter grille illumination, 22-inch wheels, and Super Cruise. This standard combination’s power and towing capability is like the Elevation with the same battery pack. Past this point, you’re entering the Extended Range battery pack options for an additional $8,200 ($79,995, total). The Denali Premium comes standard with the Extended Range pack but also comes with the MultiPro midgate, panoramic glass roof, and 7.2-kW power options and taking $86,270 out of your pocket.
If you want that plush ride you can only get with an air suspension, then the 2026 Sierra EV Denali Reserve is what you want to option for and a returning trim level from 2025. In addition to the air ride, you’ll also get four-wheel steering with CrabWalk mode, 24-inch wheels, and the 10.2-kW off-board power. If you can live with less range, the Denali Reserve Extended Range pack will set you back $92,070 while the Max Range pack will take an additional $8,625 for a total price of $100,695. Expect the 2026 GMC Sierra EV to arrive at your local GMC dealer this summer.
