The 2026 GMC Sierra EV gets a $25,000 price cut and much more

The 2026 GMC Sierra EV is here. GMC’s electric pickup is now more affordable and capable than ever, thanks to the new AT4 and Elevation trims. With a full lineup, the Sierra EV is now “right in the heart of the premium truck market.”

GMC began delivering the first Sierra EV models last year as the electric pickup reached dealerships across the US. The Sierra is GM’s third electric pickup, following the Chevy Silverado EV and GMC Hummer EV.

After the 2025 model year began arriving late last year, GMC flew us out to Silicon Valley to try it out (check out our review).

If you thought the electric pickup was impressive, wait until you see the new model. For one, the 2026 GMC Sierra EV starts at $64,495 (including destination), or over $25,000 less than the 2025MY.

The 2026 model is available with three battery options: Standard, Extended, and Max Range. With two new trims, the Sierra EV AT4 and Elevate, GMC now offers a full range of trims, battery options, and capabilities.

According to GMC’s global VP, Jaclyn McQuaid, the Sierra EV is positioned “right in the heart of the premium truck market” with these additional trims and customer options.

The Sierra EV is “a real truck that does real truck things,” McQuaid boasted. The Elevation, AT4, and Denali account for nearly two out of every three Sierras sold. With an all-electric powertrain, they offer even more capability.

The rugged AT4 trim is designed for on- and off-road adventures. It has an added 2″ of ground clearance, a lifted coil suspension, 35″ all-terrain tires, and much more. It starts at $81,395.

An exclusive Terrain Mode unlocks the electric pickup’s true potential by combining GM’s off-road capabilities with advanced software. The trim-exclusive driving mode maximizes the vehicle’s torque, control, and more to tackle any terrain.

Other features the AT4 brings include:

Standard 4-wheel drive (with CrabWalk)

Standard GM Super Cruise hands-free driving tech

Exclusive Forest Storm interior

Red illuminated GMC badge up front

Available up to 12,300 lbs of towing

Available MultiPro MidGate, which expands the bed for nearly 11 feet of space.

Available 800V DC fast-charging capabilities. Charging speeds of up to 350 kW enable up to 100 miles of range in around 10 minutes.

The new base GMC Sierra EV Elevation Standard Range trim costs $64,495. It features a 16.8″ infotainment screen, eTrunk, MultiPro Tailgate, After Dark interior, and 18″ machine-face wheels.

Other available features include MultiPro MidGate, 800V DC fast charging (up to 300 kW), GM Super Cruise, and a 7.2 kW off-boarding power system.

The 2026 Sierra EV Denali starts at $71,795 and still has that Denali-like ride and premium feel but with a few refinements, including heated and ventilated seats and Super Cruise. Other available features include 4-Wheel Steer, Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, and a Panoramic sunroof.
