Micromobility Europe conference heads to Amsterdam for big fun with small EVs

Micromobility Europe, the euro-focused sister show of the Micromobility America conference, is one of the main industry-focused trade shows concentrating on a wide variety of small-format vehicles designed for personal mobility. That includes everything from e-bikes and e-scooters to golf carts and micro-cars. If it rolls, moves a few people, and doesnโ€™t look like something youโ€™d never want to park in a crowded city, it will probably be there.

For the next two days, June 5-6, the show is hitting Amsterdam to feature a range of new vehicles, a curated list of industry speakers, and more. Itโ€™s a veritable whoโ€™s who of industry titans from micromobility company CEOs to policy makers and industry analysts. And somehow they agreed to let me in, too!

The conference is described as an โ€œimmersive two-day celebration of small electric vehicles and their power to radically reshape our cities.โ€

This wonโ€™t be my first time at the show. Iโ€™ve been fortunate enough to attendย Micromobility America and Micromobility Europe in the past, witnessing the fascinating similarities and differences between the two shows and the two markets they represent.

The event will feature over 75 speakers from different areas of the alternative transportation universe, including micromobility company founders, journalists covering the industry, politicians and policymakers, and more.

Over 1,000 attendees are expected to join the event, taking part in presentations, product launches, startup award shows, test rides, networking events, and general micromobility shenanigans.

Iโ€™ll even be hosting a panel called โ€œAfter the Boom: A Deep Dive Into the Business of Selling Electric Bikes in 2024โ€ where I discuss what itโ€™s like navigating the e-bike market after the rise and fall of the pandemic wave along with representatives from Riese & Mรผller, Veloretti, Cannondale, and NOCA Mobility.

There will also be a combination of keynote addresses, additional panels, and roundtable discussions spread across the two-day schedule, giving insight into different aspects of the industry.

New product launchesย have become a key feature of the annual events, with several new electric scooters, e-bikes, and other small-format vehicles making their worldwide debuts at the show. Donโ€™t be surprised to see several big premiers coming out of the show, which weโ€™ll be sure to cover here.

For those nearby in Amsterdam, last chance tickets are still available. Or stay tuned here on Electrek to see all the coverage from the show!
