Zeekr 7X electric crossover obtained 20,000 firm orders 18 days after the market launch. The brand’s officials indicated they aim to deliver 10,000 units of their first SUV in the first month after the sales start.
Zeekr 7X (see specs) entered the Chinese market on September 20. Its firm orders reached 6,000 units within 24 hours after the launch. 10 days after the sales started, Zeekr delivered 5,000 units of the 7X to clients. Soon, Geely’s high-end NEV brand plans to leverage the 7X sales.
Zeekr 7X firm orders
Zeekr 7X got 20,000 firm orders in China as of October 7, according to Finance Sina. It took Zeekr 18 days to reach this level. We will remind you that a firm order can’t be canceled. The Geely’s high-end NEV brand has over 340 directly-operated outlets in China. It means each outlet got around 55 firm orders for the 7X in 18 days.
Zeekr expects it will deliver 10,000 units of the 7X to customers in the first month after the launch. Previously, the company announced it had delivered 5,000 cars to owners in 10 days after the sales started. The Zeekr 7X is positioned as the Tesla Model Y rival in China. The price range of the Zeekr’s SUV is 229,900 – 269,900 yuan (32,750 – 38,500 USD).
The Model Y is the current bestselling SUV in China. In August 2024, its retail sales volume reached 45,330 units. So, Zeekr isn’t on par with its major rival yet. However, it is a growing threat to the American SUV.
