More about Onvo’s second model
Onvo vice president of products Eric Yu has disclosed a lot of valuable information about the brand’s second model at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2024. During an interview with Autohome, Mr. Yu said that Onvo makes cars for families. In the future, Onvo will launch one product per year. And the brand’s next model will enter the domestic market shortly.
As mentioned, the Onvo second car is a large SUV with six or seven seats. Onvo will officially release it in Q1 2025. Eric Yu mentioned that the development process of this crossover runs smoothly. The new model will start deliveries around May next year. Eric Yu hasn’t revealed the Onvo’s crossover price range. However, it is clear that the Onvo large SUV will cost far below 500,000 yuan (69,000 USD) in order to avoid internal competition with the Nio ES8 flagship crossover.
Currently, the Onvo L60 costs 206,900 – 255,900 yuan (28,550 – 35,300 USD) in China. With the BaaS (battery as a service) option applied, the cars start at 149,900 yuan (20,700 USD) without a battery.
Onvo also plans to have 800 – 1,000 operating stores by the end of 2025, Xchuxing reports. It is a large number as Nio currently has 564 stores across China.
