Xiaomi SU7 Ultra will have up to 630 km range plus 1.98 seconds acceleration

Information published by a government regulator shows that the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has a 93.7 kWh battery pack and a range of up to 630 km. Pre-sales of the SU7 Ultra have already been announced at 814,900 yuan (112,200 USD), and it is planned to be officially launched in March 2025.

The information came from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s catalog of new energy vehicle models that are exempt from vehicle purchase tax Or attract a lower rate.

What is interesting is that the listing information has four different ranges: 520 km, 555 km, 600 km, and 630 km, respectively. All other parameters, such as the weight of 2360 kg and the battery capacity, remain the same. Therefore, it is really not very clear why there are four different ranges listed. Perhaps the most logical explanation is that these are with different tire options.

Claimed to be the “fastest four-door mass-produced car on the planet,” much of what we know about the car so far is thanks to previous MIIT listings. Powering the SU7 Ultra are one V6s and two V8s electric motors. The V6s unit on the front axle delivers up to 288 kW of power, whereas with the V8s, there is one on each rear wheel, delivering 425 kW each. This gives the SU7 Ultra a combined power of 1138 kW (1548 hp).

That is enough to give the car a 0 to 100 km/h time of 1.98 seconds, 0-200 km/h time of 5.86 seconds, and a top speed of over 350 km/h. It takes just 9.23 seconds for the car to move from a standstill to 400 meters.

The Ultra is similar to the SU7 Max; however, it is larger, with dimensions of 5115/1970/1465 mm, but the wheelbase is the same: 3000 mm. Part of the size difference is accounted for by the body kit. The most noticeable part of that is the rear spoiler, which has a width of 1560 mm. The aerodynamic package can provide up to 285 kg of downforce. Officials say that the new car has 17 carbon fiber components.

Despite the use of carbon fiber, the SU7 Ultra still weighs more than the Max version, at 2360 kg versus 2205 kg. The Ultra features new double 5-spoke black wheels with the word “Ultra” written in the center. It has ceramic brakes, which are claimed to be the largest fitter of any sports car to date. At the front, there are six-piston yellow Akebono brake calipers, and four-piston units at the rear. These can stop the SU7 Ultra from 100 km/h in 30.8 meters.

The car comes in yellow with black highlights around most of the more sporty features. This color scheme extends to the interior, which has the same layout as the regular car. Where it mainly differs is by the addition of more carbon fiber and Alcantara materials. Additionally, the Ultra gains a new sports steering wheel and sports seats.

The infotainment screen has an exclusive UI design and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip using the Xiaomi HyperOS system. In addition, there are three kinds of simulated sports sounds and a built-in track master function.

The car comes equipped with the Xiaomi Pilot intelligent driving system, which uses two Nvidia Orin X intelligent driving chips with a computing power of 508 TOPS. This is the same setup as in the Xiaomi SU7 Pro and Max versions.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra uses the CATL Qilin 2.0 battery in a 93.7 kWh pack. It has a maximum discharge power of 1,330 kW and can still output over 800 kW at 20%. The pack also has a dual-surface cooling system and a CTB (cell-to-body) structure. It supports a maximum charge rate of 5.2C, which can complete a fast charge from 10% to 80% in 11 minutes.
