The Voyah Courage electric high-end crossover from the state-owned Dongfeng is coming to Europe. It has finished the WVTA certification, and the first batches of this EV will soon be exported to the EU.
Voyah is one of a few export-oriented Chinese brands. It was launched by Dongfeng Motor in 2018. Nowadays, the Voyah model line comprises four NEV models: the Free crossover, Dream minivan, Passion sedan, and Courage SUV. The latter vehicle has completed the European certification and is getting ready for the market launch.
Voyah Courage for Europe
Voyah officials shared online the Courage SUV has obtained the EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) certificate. Under WVTA, this Chinese brand can get certification for the Courage in one EU country and sell it throughout the European Union with no further testing. Voyah officials underlined that the Courage SUV is compliant with European regulations in terms of safety and environmental impact.
According to Voyah, the Courage crossover will soon be exported in batches and officially sold in Europe. The car dedicated to the EU market has a CCS Combo charging port since it is standard here. Other adaptations for the local market will be revealed later.

The Voyah Courage is sold in China under the Zhiyin name. It is built on the ESSA modular architecture and boasts dimensions of 4725/1900/1636 mm. Its front end has thin headlights joined by an LED strip with the brand’s logo illuminated. The car’s taillight adopts 132 light units.
The interior of the Voyah Courage adopts a 15.05-inch OLED screen powered by a Snapdragon 8295 chip. The car features an extremely small 6-inch thin instrument cluster. However, it also offers a 29-inch augmented reality head-up display. The gear shifter of the Voyah Courage sits behind the two-spoke D-shaped steering wheel. The Voyah Courage has a trunk with a capacity of 527 liters. The car has 18 speakers and a 0.62 square meter panoramic roof.
The entry-level Voyah Courage for the Chinese market adopts the 400V system with a 215-kW (288 hp) e-motor in the rear axle powered by a 77-kWh LFP battery. There is also a 4WD variant available with a combined power output of 320 kW (429 hp). The 800V variant of the Voyah Courage adopts an RWD of 230 kW (308 hp). It is available with two optional batteries: LFP for 79 kWh and NMC for 109 kWh.
The Voyah Courage costs 179,900 – 236,900 yuan (24,650 – 32,450 USD). Its price for the EU market has yet to be revealed.
