TELO Trucks has partnered with Aptera to integrate solar panel configurations into the TELO MT1 electric pickup truck, revolutionizing the EV market with enhanced sustainability and off-grid capabilities. This collaboration introduces up to three solar-powered options, allowing users to charge their vehicles on the go while reducing reliance on traditional power sources.
Integrated Solar Panel Options: Buyers can choose from three solar configurations: rooftop cab panels, tonneau truck bed covers, and camper shell panels.
Energy Efficiency: Apteraβs solar panels generate up to 200 watts at peak sunlight, offering 1-2 Wh per day depending on conditions.
Cost-Effective Performance: TELO trucks consume just 200-300 Wh/mi, allowing solar enhancements to significantly extend range.
Customization and Flexibility: Customers can select their preferred solar configuration during pre-order for a tailored vehicle experience.
Production Updates: The drivable prototype is being developed by Aria Group following a $5.4M strategic funding round in 2024.
TELO Trucks, known for its compact yet efficient electric pickups, is enhancing its offerings through this collaboration. The solar panel options include a rooftop solar array over the cab, a solar-equipped tonneau cover for the truck bed, and a camper shell solar configuration for extended charging and storage capacity. These options maximize energy independence and are ideal for adventurers and everyday drivers.
