The Avatr 06 sedan from CATL, Changan, and Huawei started presales in China. Its starting price is 215,900 yuan (29,750 USD). The Avatr 06 is available with EREV and BEV powertrain variants. This vehicle will start domestic sales in April this year.
Avatr is a joint venture between Changan and CATL. Huawei acts as a key supplier of this JV. Positioned as a high-end brand, Avatr experienced slow sales in China. Its cumulative sales volume from December 2022 to February 2025 reached 91,265 units. It is a low number for a giant Chinese market. The brand’s current model line comprises three cars: the 11 fastback SUV, the 12 liftback, and the 07 crossover. On March 27, the fourth Avatr model started presales in China. It is the Avatr 06 sedan.

The Avatr 06 adopts the brand’s newest design language with signature LED running lights and a sleek outline. The car has wide sculpted fenders, retractable door handles, and optional cameras instead of side-view mirrors. On the roof, the Avatr 06 has a LiDAR sensor. This sedan boasts dimensions of 4885/1960/1450 mm with a wheelbase of 2940 mm.
The Avatr 06’s interior integrates a large 35.4-inch screen that stretches through the center console. It serves as an instrument cluster. The main screen of the Avatr 06 has a diameter of 15.6 inches. Side-view camera displays sit in the center console. As a result, the driver can monitor the surroundings without turning his head. Other interior features include 25 Meridian speakers and Nappa-wrapped seats.
The entry-level Avatr 06 BEV has a single electric motor in the rear axle with a peak power of 252 kW (338 hp). There is also a 4WD variant available with a combined power output of 440 kW (590 hp). Thanks to an 82 kWh LFP battery, the Avatr 06 can run up to 650 km on a single charge.
The Avatr 06 EREV has a single e-motor in the rear axle for 231 kW (310 hp). Under the hood, the car has a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine for 115 kW (154 hp). This variant has two CATL-made LFP battery options for 31.7 – 45.06 kWh, suitable for 170 – 240 km of electric range. Another feature of the Avatr 06 is air suspension.
Avatr 06 presales
The Avatr 06 became available for presales with five trim levels. Two of them are EREV, and the other three are BEV. The entry-level Avatr 06 EREV Pro is priced at 215,900 yuan (29,750 USD). More information about the Avatr 06 prices will be revealed in April this year when the car will be officially launched in China.
